Top Art and Design Apps on Android in South America: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the art and design category on the Android platform saw significant activity in South America. According to data from Sensor Tower, several apps stood out in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor experienced impressive growth in weekly downloads, starting at around 308K and peaking at approximately 598K by the end of March. Revenue followed a steady upward trajectory, beginning at $182.8K and reaching about $231.8K in the same period. This app also saw a consistent rise in weekly active users, culminating in over 23.6M by the quarter's end.

The Genius: AI Photo Generator app displayed a remarkable surge in both downloads and active users. Downloads skyrocketed from 187.8K to over 1.7M, while active users increased substantially from 437K to approximately 1.7M. Although revenue remained relatively modest, a notable spike to $1.87K was recorded at the end of March.

Adobe Express: AI Photo, Video maintained a stable performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 248K and ending at about 165K. Revenue showed slight variations, with a peak of approximately $3.05K in early March. Active users remained steady, with the quarter closing at around 733K.

ibis Paint X saw a consistent trend in downloads, with numbers ranging from 151K to 166K. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $2.57K towards the end of February. Weekly active users remained robust, with numbers consistently above 6M throughout the quarter.

Finally, AR Drawing - Sketchar App showed a steady increase in both downloads and active users. Downloads grew from 34.5K to about 160.7K, while active users rose from 232K to over 414K by the end of March.
